Lead Guide Eric Stroup has solidified his reputation as one of the premier guides in the east. Years of repeat customers are testimony to his ever evolving techniques and skill. His dedication to the great sport of fly fishing is confirmed each year by the average, 100 guided days in central Pennsylvania and Southwest Montana. Eric"s knowledge and passion extends well beyond guiding. As the official instructor of the Regal Engineering Fly Tying School in Pennsylvania, Eric has the opportunity to share in his knowledge of fly tying and the entomology that enhances any Eastern Fly Fishing experience. An accomplished writer and presenter with feature articles in Fly Fisherman Magazine and Eastern Fly Fishing, Eric Stroup offers the Total Fly Fishing Experience.
Lance Wilt was born and raised on the banks of Pennsylvania’s famed Big Fishing Creek. Though he wasn’t born with a fly rod in his hand, he may as well have been. His youth was spent harassing trout on his native water as well as that of Penns Creek. His passion for the outdoors inspired his education in Outdoor Recrea¬tion Management from Lock Haven University, while keeping him close to home, near the trout water he so dearly loves. While pursuing his education, Lance began an internship with the Spruce Creek Fly Co. as a guide and part time shop employee. He quickly excelled in the guiding and became one of the company’s most requested guides. The following season Lance worked for several outfitters where he continued to gain experience and develop his style of teaching. His technical skills and personality are second only to his passion for fly fishing.Lance spends over 250 days a year on the water, either guiding or fishing. His journey through the fly fishing profession has taken him all over the world, from South America to Montana, and back again. His career has followed a similar route. |

Rob Reeder grew up in Central Pennsylvania. His father taught him to fly fish on some of the most famous trout streams in the East: Penn's Creek, the Little Juniata River, Spruce Creek, Spring Creek, and Yellow Creek (Bedford County). In addition to his love for fly fishing for wild trout, Rob is an avid smallmouth bass and warm water fly fisherman. He firmly believes that to be a complete fly fisherman, you should pursue all species of fish with a fly rod. Rob has spent the last 20 years or so fly fishing in Montana, Hawaii, the Florida Keys, all over the Eastern United States, but spends most of his time in Western and Central Pennsylvania. Rob never forgets the fly fishermen, fly tiers, and fly shop owners who were so generous with their time over the years (and continue to be generous!) teaching him along the way. He loves to share his knowledge of fly fishing and fly tying with beginners. The best part the job is introducing new comers to the fine sport of fly fishing! |
